This was installed on some Mustang SSP cars and just about every Crown Victoria and other police vehicle built. It is an interior dome light.  This one is used and has some basic wear on the lense from rings or whatever as they reached up in the dark to turn it on. It was removed from our old 1989 Georgia State Patrol Mustang we restored years ago, we added a new unit at that time.  Pretty much a universal part.
