1989 FHP Special Service Mustang

This poor Mustang has had a rough life. We bought this from an enthusiast who just didn't have the time, funds or equipment to properly restore it and since we have a soft spot for SSP Mustangs and not enough projects(enter sarcasm) we brought this poor steed home to show it some love. This picture was when the previous own first brought it to his home.

This is how she looked when we got her home. It did not run, had no brakes and the transmission was missing and a 4 cylinder T-5 was included which ofcourse won't work. We got the car running, another T-5 installed and brakes working just so that we didn't have to push it around. Now it awaits its turn for some time under the knife.

The interior is rough...the front seats are missing and a further previous owner cut holes in the dash for gauges.

Here is the original dome light with missing lens. We have done a few camera installs in late model Crown Vics for local jurisdictions so we have a few of these in new condition that we saved from those installs that we can use when we do the restoration.

Our plans for this car are to go back with a 100% stock in-service restoration so there is much work to be done and we will add more pics once the project begins. We have a few in front of this one so it will be some time before this one gets in the door.
